Foreign Patient
In
the age of globalization, the number of foreign patients coming to the dental
hospital has increased dramatically over the past 5 years. The wide range of
patients are not only Asian patients such as Chinese and Korean, but also North
& South American, European, African and Oseania.
The Center offers consistent support for the non-Japanese in Japan and from abroad by translating Japanese Hospital Signs and Documents into English and providing interpretation support.

ISW Program
ISW (International Students Week) is a short term clinical elective program
for international undergraduate dental students. This aims to gain a better
understanding of dental education in Japan for all participants and provide
opportunities to observe how dentistry is practiced in a foreign country.
This program is designed to give additional exposures with a wide range
of aspects from various fields of dentistry.
・Short term (1-2 week) clinical elective program designed for international

・Interaction with undergraduated /PhD students of Osaka University

Overseas Visitors
The Osaka
University Dental Hospital frequently receives requests to visit for observing
advnced clinical treatments and equipment such as the Center for Cleft Lip and
Cleft Palate and the Center for Translational Dental Research. As a global
leader in Asia, we accept visitors from all over the world.

Chang at Taipei Medical University visited Prof. Murakami, the Director of the
Dental Hospital as well as the Chair of the Periodontology Department, Prof.
Amano, the Dean of Graduate School of Dentistry and Prof. Imazato, the Vice
Dean.
Prof.
Chang had a mini lecture from the Director regarding his regenerative research.
